OJSC "Druzhkovsky engineering factory"
The biggest CIS producer of mining equipment and monopoly holder in Eastern Europe as for its certain kinds (automatic roof supports, mining cars).
The plant was founded in 1893 by the stock holders of Donetsk Community of iron and steel industry as metal manufacturing enterprise, and since 1936 it has produced mining equipment. Total number of support sets produced within existence period of the enterprise is over 10 000. Today more than 5 000 people are engaged with the plant. In 2000 the plant was privatized, now production distribution and marketing activity of the enterprise is coordinated by Ukruglemash Trade Industrial Company.
Perennial experience of Druzhkovka engineers proved with strong base of processing, welding and assembling, casting and press-forging industry provides producing items complying with the highest demands of consumers and world standards. This is promoted with modernization of the plant aimed on complete technical re-equipment.
Production range covers wide spectre of mining equipment: automatic and shield supports, accumulator and contact mine locomotives, mine cars, elevating equipment, equipment for mine surface and shaft bottom mechanization.
Druzhkovsky engineering factory initiated and invested largely the projects "Organizing production of automatic roof supports" and "Organizing production line for large-sized shaped castings and forged pieces". The projects were discussed and accepted by the Council of special economic areas in Donetsk region.
Investing projects supported by Ukruglemash TIC LLC are aimed on coping with new designs from Dongiprouglemash Institute of coal engineering for purpose of complex re-equipment of coal mines with modern supports, this providing efficient usage of new coal-plough machines and conveyors. New equipment has increased security level, complies with modern demands of coal branch to mining equipment.
In 2001-2002 Ukruglemash TIC LLC together with Dongiprouglemash Research Institute and Druzhkovsky engineering factory worked out and put into production powered two-prop shield supports of new generation . Their durability is three times longer than that of previous type (up to 8 years without overhaul), and technical capacity are much wider. As for their technical characteristics new automatic supports don't yield to foreign analogues, moreover they surpass them. At the same time Druzhkovka production costs much cheaper than any western analogues.
Cooperating closely with Ukruglemash TIC and Dongiprouglemash Research Institute Druzhkovsky engineering factory performs individual orders considering specific character of the customer's enterprise. Complete repair and service for the equipment produced by the plant are provided as well.
In 2002 Druzhkovsky engineering factory was awarded with Vyshcha Proba quality mark. On January, 22 2004 a number of automatic roof supports got European Quality award.
